A Challenge - and an Invitation
What is your 2050 Challenge?
The future’s not as distant as you think!
Whether you plan on working
for five more years or 50, the dreams you have for your family, your
nation, and your world extend well beyond particular career interests.
But your career as an engineer or technology professional is still the
foundation for realizing those dreams for 2050—and beyond.
EDE can be your partner in
building that foundation. The College of Engineering at Iowa State University
is one of America’s premier institutions, not only in technical research
and teaching, but also in delivering educational opportunity to students
worldwide through some of the best distance education facilities in
the business.
That’s no surprise: the College
of Engineering was one of Iowa State’s original instructional units,
and we’ve been delivering opportunity for 150 years now. From its
initial offering of bachelor’s degrees in civil and mechanical engineering,
the college has expanded to 13 undergraduate programs and confers masters
and doctoral degrees as well.
What’s more, our faculty
have extended their teaching beyond campus classrooms since 1913, when
the college began providing continuing education programs for Iowa's
engineers. Today, both Iowans and engineers from around the world are
served by courses produced by Engineering Distance Education—courses
selected because engineers like you have requested them.
Our hybrid delivery system
uses proven mechanisms, offering quality instruction in a flexible mode
at minimum cost. Whether through web-based streaming media or CD-ROM,
you’ll learn within the environment of a premier university and from
some of the most respected professors in their fields, researchers and
educators who are as available to you online as they are to students
on campus.
So consider this your invitation
to join us as partners in taking up your personal 2050 Challenge. Learn how you can shorten
the distance between your dreams and your future today!
